If you want to study in the UK, you will need a student visa. There are 2 types, the Student Route visa and the Student Visitor visa.

To find out which visa type applies to you and your circumstances, please read through the information below.

UK Visa Partners have been running immigration services for a number of years, and we are dedicated to giving our customers the peace of mind and freeing them of any hassle before they get their visa decisions.

Student Route visa

A person who wants to study in the UK may apply for a Student Route visa from inside the UK or abroad.  If they are between 4 to 17, they may apply for a Child Student Route visa, or alternatively, if they are over 16, they may apply for a Student Route visa. Prior to their application, they must obtain sponsorship from their institution who must issue them with a Certificate of Acceptance of Studies (CAS). If the tudent is over 16, he or she may work part-time during term time and full-time during holidays. If you are from a “low-risk” country, you will have a lot of workload taken off you because you will be exempt from having to produce various documentary proofs. When your student visa expires, you can choose to leave the UK and re-apply for an entry clearance from abroad, or stay here and apply for a biometric residence permit no later than 28 days after your visa expiry date. Either way, we can still help you with your application.

Student Visitor Visa

A non-UK national over the age of 18 can apply to study a short course in the UK as a student visitor. No work is allowed during the student visitor’s stay and the visa can only be granted for a maximum of 6 months, unless the visitor enrolled on an English language course, in which case it would be 11 months.
